I am pleased to announce the appointment of Kendra Foster as Receptionist/Secretary for the Archdiocese of Kingston.     

Kendra is a parishioner at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, Kingston.  She comes to us from her most recent employment with the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board.

Kendra joined the staff of the Pastoral Centre today, Monday, January 15, 2018.  I am sure that you will join us in extending a warm welcome to her.

I would like to take this opportunity to express sincere gratitude to Nancy Kelsey, who served us very well in this position for the past seven years.  We wish her a happy, healthy, and fruitful retirement.

FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATOR

ROMAN CATHOLIC ARCHDIOCESE OF KINGSTON


Under the direction of the Archbishop of Kingston and in support of his pastoral mission, the Financial Administrator is responsible for the tasks related to Accounting, Finance, Property, and Personnel.

Primary Qualifications

  • An appreciation and detailed knowledge of Roman Catholic doctrine, practices, and customs;
  • A university degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting. Other post-secondary education combined with significant relevant work experience will be considered;
  • Management experience, preferably in a non-profit organization;
  • Ability to use computer software including accounting and spreadsheet programs.
  • Good communication skills, written and oral.
Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for:

  • Accurate financial reporting including preparation of financial statements and administration of the transactions of all Funds of the Archdiocese;
  • The fulfillment of required reporting for government agencies and ministries;
  • Preparation , administration and monitoring of budgets;
  • Provision of financial guidance for parishes and pastors;
  • Administration of insurance programs, pension plans, and banking functions;
  • Administration of investment portfolios;
  • Management of human resources;
  • Administration of archdiocesan properties;
  • Staff support for various archdiocesan committees.
