OVERVIEW
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a process
instituted by the Roman Catholic Church to help those who have
never been baptized, or for Christian's baptized in other faith
traditions to become disciples of Jesus Christ in the Catholic
Church.
The goal the RCIA is to help adults (and children) to grow in
their relationship with God, become familiar with the Catholic
teachings and practices, get acquainted with people in the
parish, and involved in service in the local and wider
community.
