This video series is an excellent opportunity to learn more about your Catholic faith this Lent from one of the Church’s best apologists. We’ll have the goodies and coffee on for you, just bring a bible and come on out!!

Each night will begin with a brief talk by Fr. Alex followed by the video presentation and a question and answer period. A transcript of each of the talks and Fr. Alex’s notes will be made available to all participants who would like a copy at a small cost.

Our goal is to help our teens answer those questions they have about their own bodies and to discover the ultimate purpose for which God created them and God’s plan for their lives.  Young people face many challenges today and our hope is to help them reveal a road map to real love and authentic happiness.
All teens 16+ are invited!

Annual Sheppard's Walk
27 March 2010

The Shepherds Walk is a Penitential Walk, started in the Azores on the Island of San Miguel, over 500 years ago. Having endured earthquakes, mudslide and the threat of the Sea wiping out their Island, they began to pray to Our Blessed Mother Mary for protection. When the tempest subsided they began a Penitential Walk throughout the Island that would last for eight days. Visiting the Churches, Chapels and Cemeteries along the way, they would pray for their families, peace in the world and for the Souls in Purgatory.

Here in Kingston the Portuguese Community carry on this act of faith each year by visiting six of our downtown Churches, St James Chapel, Providence Manor Chapel and St. Mary’s Cemetery, before returning to Our Lady of Fatima Parish for the Vigil Mass of Palm Sunday.

This year the SHEPHERDS WALK will take place on 27 March 2010.

Please see Schedule of the Parade Route for times when the Shepherds will be visiting your Church or Chapel.

All are encouraged to join the walk
